Dothan Country Club

Walking a private course in the Southeast is a minor act of defiance against the region's cart-first defaults. At Dothan, 18 holes over 6,403 yards of rolling Bermuda terrain means the walk has substance. In Southern heat, it demands respect. Members who walk here have made a deliberate choice. The turf holds better. The pace feels earned. Slope of 126 means the terrain has enough character to make the walk interesting without turning it into a slog. Summer heat in the Deep South is not a footnote. It's a condition. Morning tee times are not a preference. They're a plan. Pace of play ratings run high here, which matters on a walking round where momentum is everything.
