Fourteen holes in California wine country. Hunter Ranch plays through oak-studded hills outside Paso Robles, and the layout asks you to think more than swing. The terrain rolls but never punishes. Walking here feels natural, even when the afternoon heat settles into the Central Coast valleys. Green fees stay reasonable for the region, and the restaurant gives you a reason to linger after the round. Not a destination course. Not trying to be. Just solid public golf in a part of the state where solid public golf is harder to find than good Zinfandel.
