Alister MacKenzie designed one residential course. It sits on Santa Cruz hillsides with the bunkering and green shapes you'd expect from the guy who co-designed Augusta. Terrain rolls. Still walkable. Green fees run $425 to walk, $470 to ride. You're paying for MacKenzie's name, not some marketing department's invention. Walking gives you ocean views and elevation swings that change how you see each hole. There's a hot dog stand at the turn. If architecture matters to you, play it.
