Rolling terrain at Iowa City gives the walk its natural rhythm
Rolling terrain at Iowa City gives the walk its natural rhythm. At 6,472 yards, the route uses grade changes that flat courses simply cannot replicate. A slope of 127 means enough character to keep things interesting without turning into a slog. The walkability score of 78 lands in respectable territory. Not a showcase walking course, but one where the walker clearly is not an afterthought in the operational philosophy. Pleasant Valley delivers a solid municipal walk with enough undulation to remind you why you left the cart behind.
