Nine holes at Erie, Kansas. That's 3,007 yards of flat Kansas walking golf for the before-work crowd, the lunch-break regulars, and the after-school set. Slope of 111 puts this squarely in moderate territory. Enough movement to notice, not enough to dread. The nine-hole public course is the most democratic format in golf. This one does its job without asking for more credit than it deserves. Pace of play ratings run high here, which matters on a walking round where momentum is everything.
