Nine holes carved into the Black Hills terrain, about ten minutes from Mount Rushmore. The par-32 layout keeps things moving. Short on yardage but not on character. Elevation changes come with the territory here. Custer sits at 5,300 feet, so the thin air adds a few yards to every club. Green fees stay reasonable, and the locals treat it like their backyard course. You can knock out 9 holes walking in under three hours if the pace cooperates. Not a destination course, but if you're in the area and need to stretch your legs between tourist stops, this works.
