Twenty-seven holes of serious Michigan golf cut through hardwoods and wetlands northwest of Detroit. The terrain doesn't apologize. Elevation changes constantly. Mature oaks frame every shot, and the routing threads between them. You can walk it, but the hills will wear you out. This isn't flat ground. Cart path only rules show up often enough that walkers sometimes have the easier route. The restaurant draws crowds for good reason. Shepherd's Hollow plays like a private club that happens to let the public in. Green fees reflect that. Worth the drive from anywhere in southeast Michigan if you want to walk something with actual teeth.
