Central Oregon's high desert layout sits at 4,200 feet where the air is thin and the ball carries. Caldera Links replaced the old Crosswater course with something more walkable and less precious about cart paths. The terrain stays relatively flat through volcanic meadowlands, and the routing makes sense on foot. Not the marquee course at Sunriver, but maybe the one you'll actually enjoy walking. Summer evenings here last forever. The pines throw long shadows across the fairways while you finish your round. Resort golf that doesn't punish you for leaving the cart behind.
